For those of you who were able to join us on our Facebook page for our very first remote ritual watch party, we are incredibly thankful you were able to celebrate the equinox with us; for those who were unable to join us, there is a perk to our remote style of public rituals in that we can provide you with a message of power and healing during these interesting times.
May you carry the wisdom and blessings of Hathor and Sekhmet with you as we all navigate a challenging summer.
Please join us on the Winter Solstice as we honor Sól, the Nordic goddess of the Sun. In a sacred procession, we will follow Sól on her final journey into the underworld, and we will return with her as the next solar cycle begins and she rides reborn.
This is an opportunity for all to honor Sól, and for all those willing and in attendance to give her their offerings and prayers. It is also a time to feast, sing, and be merry! The opportunity is open to all to perform stories, songs, and poetry during our post-ritual potluck.
Gathering begins at 7:00 pm, ritual starts at 7:30 pm.
Childcare will be provided upon request in advance, please contact us by Monday, December 16th, if you plan on bringing children in need of childcare, so we may contact our childcare providers.
Most of the ritual will be inside, however we will be stepping outside for our sacred procession. We recommend keeping your coats and sweaters on your person during the procession.
If you have any questions regarding the ritual, you can contact the ritual coordinator, Elise Kolderup, through her email (ebkolderup@gmail.com) or through our email at Denton.CUUPS.Events@gmail.com
Last Sunday we held our annual planning meeting and set the calendar for 2015. Most of our events will be held at DUUF and they’ve now been loaded on the DUUF building usage calendar, meaning they’re firm.
Our calendar is now available on this website. Rituals and service projects are here:
